“I found Muay Thai as a therapeutic technique. It helped me recognize the strength I already had, as well as gave me a physical way to manifest the resilience I’d developed through the years of trauma. It was not long before I found I was standing up for myself, setting boundaries, and working harder to achieve my goals not just in the ring, but outside as well. I found the attributes that helped me improve in the ring applied to my relationships, career, and personal development. Pursuing my dream to fight also gave me the courage to write and be willing to share those parts of me with others. Although being a fighter has shaped and improved my life, the greatest lesson I’ve learned is no matter what happens, I am so much more than a fighter – I’m me, and that’s enough.” - Sarah
